The first touch-up is done 4–6 weeks after the procedure, once the skin has fully healed. It is a required part of the process, not an add-on.
How much does a PMU touch-up cost?
The first touch-up is usually included in the original price. Later refreshes cost EUR 80–180, depending on the area and how much time has passed.
Why is a touch-up necessary?
During healing the skin rejects some pigment – usually 20–40%. At the touch-up the artist evens the tone, fills gaps and refines the shape.
Can another artist do the touch-up?
Possible, though not everyone takes it on. Another artist will want to see the existing work in person before saying whether a touch-up is feasible.
Is a touch-up more painful than the first procedure?
No, it is usually easier and quicker since there is less work. A touch-up takes 40–60 minutes compared with 1.5–2 hours the first time.
