Permanent Makeup (PMU)
Permanent makeup helps enhance natural beauty, define facial features and reduce the time spent on daily makeup routines. Modern PMU techniques allow for natural-looking and harmonious results tailored to each client's individual features, preferences and style. Whether you are interested in permanent makeup for brows, lips or eyeliner, choosing an experienced specialist is essential. Browse portfolios, compare professionals and find the right PMU artist for your needs. Skaists brings together permanent makeup artists and beauty salons from across Latvia.
What is permanent make-up?
Permanent make-up implants pigment into the upper layer of the skin to define brows, lips or the lash line. Unlike a tattoo, the pigment fades over time.
How much does permanent make-up cost?
Brow PMU usually costs EUR 180–350, lips EUR 200–400 and eyeliner EUR 120–250. The first touch-up after 4–6 weeks is normally included.
How long does permanent make-up last?
On average 1–3 years, depending on the area, skin type and lifestyle. Pigment fades faster on oily skin and with a lot of sun exposure.
Is permanent make-up painful?
A numbing cream is used during the procedure, so most clients feel only mild discomfort. The lips are usually the most sensitive area.
Who should avoid permanent make-up?
It is not done during pregnancy or breastfeeding, nor with active skin inflammation, a recent chemical peel or blood-clotting disorders.
